The VanS Record Storage system accurately tracks the flow of cartons coming in and going out of the warehouse. Its flexible billing system allows clients to define custom procedures for each account. The system also simplifies accounting by automatically updating the Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Sales applications.
Bar Coding
- Utilize the latest in bar code technology with bar coded labels on cartons and locations.
- Update inventory and storage billing automatically by simply scanning cartons as they come into the warehouse.
Warehouse Activity
- Security is provided for individual customers by requiring entry of an authorization code prior to processing carton accesses.
- Save time pulling cartons by printing a Carton Pick List, which shows all cartons to be pulled in location number order.
- Use warehouse space more efficiently since there is no need to reserve space for a carton. The system tracks the location of each carton even if a customer's cartons are located throughout the warehouse.
- Automatically print delivery receipts using the Record Activity Form that is printed after each carton access. This form lists all files and cartons accessed within a transaction.
Flexible Billing
- Allow different rate structures for each customer or contract.
- Bill customers on different days of the month.
- Minimum charges may be set up for each type of service and monthly storage.
- Bill storage charges based on the number of cartons, total cubic feet, flat monthly rate, or by a progressive rate structure based on the number of cartons.
Reports and Inquiries
- On-line Carton Inquiry is available by customer, order, and customer reference number.
- The Cartons Report shows cartons currently in or out of the warehouse, last authorized access, and carton totals by customer.
- Review all storage activity for a given time period using the Record Activity Report.
- The Locations Report determines current warehouse usage by showing all used or available areas in the warehouse.
